Prof. Veronica Folasade T. Babajide is a Professor of Physics Education in the Department of Science Education, Faculty of Education, University of Lagos, Nigeria. She is a Science Educator and Researcher. Prof. Veronica Babajide holds a B.Sc. Degree in Education Physics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1996, Master of Education in Science Education (Physics) and Doctor of Philosophy in Education Physics from the University of Ibadan in the year 2000 and 2010 respectively.
She is a recipient of Fellow: Global Education Network (FGEN) 2016, the Award of Excellence 2019, and the Award of Excellence & Corporate Performance of the International Institute of Policy Review and Development Strategies (IIPRDS) 2019 and Award of Excellence as GEN Information Officer 2020-2024 on 5th September 2024 in Liverpool hope University United Kingdom.
She has served the University of Lagos in various capacities; a few of which are: Post Graduate Coordinator, Department of Science & Technology Education, 2018-2020 Faculty Examination officer, 2018-2022. Coordinator of foundation programs, Department of Science & Technology Education 2011-2013. She has served as a board member at the School of Postgraduate Studies, 2018 to date, Member of the University of Lagos Women’s Society School Management Board 2023 to date, Chairman of the Department of Science Education Quality Assurance and SERVICOM Committee 2024-to date, and an elected member of representative of Congregation at the University of Lagos senate from 2018 to 2024. She has published widely and has over sixty publications in peer-reviewed national and international journals to her credit. She is a member of reputable organizations within and outside Nigeria. She is an external examiner to some Universities in Nigeria and External Assessor of Candidate’s Ph. D Theses in Nigeria and outside Nigeria.
