Chinyere N. ALIMBA is a professor of Peace and Security Studies, at the Centre for Peace and Security Studies, ModibboAdama University, Yola, Adamawa State, Nigeria. He attended University of Ibadan for his educational career and had his postdoctoral programme at the International Centre for Political Violence and Terrorism Research (ICPVTR), S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (2014/2015). He has served as the Head of General Studies Department (2015-2019) and is also a member of Senate of his institution. 

He has travelled widely with respect to academic subjects and his areas of research interest include: Peace education, peace-building and Humanitarian debacle, and Security Studies. He is a member of International Peace Research Association (IPRA) and Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP).  He has published substantially in a number of reputable local and international journals. Prof. Alimba is currently the Treasurer of Education Dialogue (EDUDIA).
